I already know a decent number of people who are not getting ps4 and will either stay with their ps3 or go to pc. Im thinking some people will stay to their word of not paying to play online on top of paying for internet. Only 5 people on my friends list have PS Plus, and I dont expect that every one of my friends will even be cool with getting PS Plus in the first place :/
Becuase there is now a paywall for online multi, how many customers do you think Sony will lose because of this?
As I've always felt, if you cant afford $50-$60 a year to play online, you should probably not play so many games and get a better paying job. Cruel, maybe, but the honest truth.
People who claim that paying for Plus is too much of an issue will get over it. It may be a hassle for some, but it is necessary at this point for the service to get better.
They are either kids without a constant income or stubborn adults. Both will cave if they enjoy gaming. Kids will save up and buy a bunch at once. Adults will decide that they want to play with their friends.

I don't think the amount of people Sony is going to lose will be significant, given the state of the PS4 pre-orders it shows most people don't mind, and while some people will not be getting it they are replaced by the people jumping from the MS camp that will be getting a ps4
I never paid for Gold, didn't think it was a deal, bargain, whatever you'd want to call it. WAAAAAAY to much usless crap on there, which I would never use, or got free through other means. That said, I had no problem paying for Plus once I got my PS3, for the simple reason of, it had what I wanted, not a bunch of crap to just make money. Many people are upset with the way the xbone is being geared towards Apps and Ads especially, that I think they will GAIN people in the long run when people migrate from xbone to the PS4. As someone pointed out , their sales are showing more people moving to PS4, they know what Sony has to offer and are willing to pay for it.
