The CW's Supernatural Discussion Thread

Anyone else but me here watch Supernatural on the WB? Personally, I think it is better than Lost (only because I'm so burnt out on Lost right now)

Also, anyone know if there are plans to release Season 1 of Supernatural on DVD? Thx.

I've seen it a few times, and there was just something about it was missing that could make it a good show.  Like sometimes it seemed like they drop the father search, then its a big part of the story. It just seems a little unorganized and some of the normal stuff seems unrealistic. Like where are they getting money from, why do people believe they are cops, but still trust them when they tell them they are really ghost hunters, how come the libraries they go to have exactly what they are looking for.

well, dean, the older brother has been doing it since he was a kid.  in some of the episodes they talk about and show dean hustling on the pool table and talk about winning playing cards.  Also, credit card fraud is talked about too.  They where taught to be very resourcefull and Sam, the younger brother has excellent computer skills.  he has been able to hack into law enforcement systems.  they are, for the most part con-artists.  just like an other of them out there.  but, they fight ghosts and such.  it doesn't talk about that stuff on all the episodes, but, it does touch on what you're asking about.

i personally love the show.  just started watching it not too long ago.  and downloaded season 1.  i'm about 2 episodes from the end.  its very good.!  i would recommend it to any X-Files fan.

Until I discovered '24', Supernatural was my favorite show on television (It runs a really close 2nd to '24'. )  I haven't seen the dvd for the season out in stores....come to think of it, it can't be. This is the 1st season and it's not done yet. Oooooh, someone on this thread lied about seeing it,lol.

Tonight is the season finale.  I have to watch it.  Too much happened last week.  They need to tell us if Sam is alive.  We need to see what happens with that yellow-eyed demon.

Are we going to find out the demon's master plan?

I love Supernatural. Love the humor, the folk-lore, the spookiness of it all....I also love that car they drive. I was so heart-broken when it got totalled in last season finale.

For all those who like Jensen Ackles, you must check him out in the TV series Dark Angel.  He's absolutely incredible and hilarious!  He has a reoccuring role in Season 2, but you'll want to watch it from the beginning.  The first episode is really, really strong, and is written by James Cameron.  It stars Jessica Alba.  You can rent it on Netflix.
Come on, Frank. You know I love surprises.

He was on "Day of our Lives" long before that. He played Eric Brady,Sammi's twin. He was also on Smallville a couple of seasons ago. The finale was pretty good. It was cool to see their dad come to the rescue one last time. I wish he would have spoken to them though. Dean's up poop creek without a paddle though. I wonder how he's going to get out of that deal and still keep Sam alive?

It just occurred to me that the yellow-eyed demon brought the Colt revolver with a special bullet inside.  The bullet was unnecessary to open the gate.  So why didn't he unload the gun?

Maybe he couldn't remove it for whatever reason...I don't know. But yeah, I noticed that too. All in all, the finale was ok, nothing that made me go "wow".

He couldn't. The bullet was blessed. Did you notice the symbol carved on the head of the bullet as Dean fired it? Now he could have got Jake to unload it for him. Why he didn't is beyond me.
