E3 vs Final Build - weird changes

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception General Discussion forum is your place to discuss single player campaign and general (non-multiplayer) topics.
I am going to show some very noticable changes that occured between E3 version shown on trailer, and the game we've got.
but Chloe's model looks like this... Also notice lighting.
The bus scene. When a bus is dusty, old, and the morning light shines on it, that's what it looks like. I know from riding lots of crappy school buses. I can see why people prefer the older build though, it's beautiful. What's so weird about the Nate/Elena pics? They made some changes to the story or maybe felt the real pictures were too spoilery.
I know someone is going to mention this, Chloe does look good in the early build, in a bland typical pretty girl way. The last version is better because she looks more exotic and interesting.
I saw some of those images on the Gamespot forums too, apparently.
As some others have said, it almost looks like as though the scenes from the E3 build were pre-rendered, actually, but then again, the unlikeliness of such a claim is just as justifiable, really.
Whatever the case, it looks like a lot of changes were made during the time surrounding the day they released their trailer in E3 and the day they actually finally went gold; of course, it was to be expected, though, since they themselves said that until the game is completely finished, there's bound to be some changing here, polishing there, maybe even some removals in this area and so on and so forth.
The difference in texture and overall environment appearances are still pretty intriguing, though..

Guess what? When a game is still in development things can change. So the conversation between Nate and Elena happens in a different place and they changed the lighting in the bus scene. So what?

Nearly all the cutscenes in UC1-UC3 have been pre-rendered. You can easily tell because of compression artifacts. The e3 build of Uncharted did look better in some regards.

Yes, but why did the bus scene (no offence to ND) become significantly worse-looking? That snippet looked lovely and polished in the E3 trailer, and Chloe looked fantastic.
I hate saying negative things about ND because I love them, but to me I suspect they ran out of time and chucked that yellow smog in to cut down on detail and do a quick render so they could get it out the door in time (this is just my guess).
Actually Final build of Elena has better quality.

Made a comparison with Elena.
For average games, no.
For GOTY-caliber franchises, yes.
