Unable to begin to DL 1.08

I've checked the last 5 pages and I didn't notice anyone else with similar issues. Sorry if I missed it but this is quite urgent.

Whenever I launch Uncharted 2 and it says I must download the patch, I press 'OK' but nothing happens afterwards. Seconds later, my Playstation ERRORS (three quick bleeps) and restarts the whole system.

Basically, I can't play the game at all, just when I was about to try out the Lab playlists. I'm wondering if there's a problem with my setup/system or perhaps there's something wrong on Naughty Dog's end. I'll be hoping I'll get an clarification on this ASAP.

When faced with the first update, press O, it will then probably sign you out of PSN, sign back in, and you when you try to go to multiplayer it will ask you to download it, try this method, I saw a post exactly like your problem earlier.

I tried playing the game offline, the patch download window still popped up.

Well I'll be. That method proved to be very effective. Downloading the patch as we speak.
