I saw this and got really sad. Thought I would post it so others could find out.

Resident Evil
You would think that if Capcom were planning to kill off one of their best Resident Evil characters they would have done so in a more favorable manner... Good grief...
I suspected that Wesker wouldn't be returning back in March '09 when I first played through Resident Evil 5 (PS3), which is probably why I was so upset about RE5's conclusion, but I had my doubts. After all, it is an incredibly bad move (IMHO). With that being said, it's about bloody time we received confirmation of Wesker's death...
I honestly don't see the Resident Evil series benefiting from this at all...
I laughed at this comment on that site:
His hand is gonna get implanted into Barry's body, so he can take out the patriots.

Oh crap that was good
Well, there goes the "regenerating" theory...
Hope Ada takes over or something.
I hope so too. I'm pretty confident that whoever is going to direct the production of RE6's story has already charted the course for what's going to happen next.

Yeah, what wold be really cool in the 6th game is if there were two groups like team Leon and or team Chris and they'd be on different parts of the globe or something. Then you could switch off between them after each chapter.
((but this is just me dreaming))
Something like that would definitely be able to rekindle my interest in the Resident Evil series. With that being said, I highly doubt Capcom would be able to pull something like this off (especially considering the direction they are taking the RE series). After all, I haven't been impressed with the storylines in any of the more recent Resident Evil installments...

Instead of Wesker, a hottie - evil Asian woman with a significant interest in one of the game's protagonist? Pretty badass. I'd say that'd be a pretty original scenario to attempt to create. RE2 was perhaps the last impressive attempt on Capcom's part to represent awesome twists and creative stories, though. Everything after that has been incredibly cliche and predictable.
Just imagine Ada being the lead executive of some bio-weapons organization and Leon is sent in to investigate and/or even be ordered to kill the chain of command. It'd be pretty intense if he found out it was Ada. I'm not saying I'm betting on this happening, but it'd be a cool plot - something Capcom seems to be less and less good at doing (creating interesting stories).
Honestly, I've been a fan of the series since it's inception in '96 and honestly, I really don't care. I've played every game in the main series and most of the others as well. There can be badder and better. Hopefully we get a great villain out of it. Not just a villain for one game like Saddler, but another long standing villain. A villain that is actually frightening or intimidating. Sorry, a geek with a nasty virus just doesn't intimidate me; even if he is a total badass. I liked Wesker and all, but I think we'll get something better out of this.
In all honesty, though, I really thought Wesker would be back. Neither rocket seemed to hit him directly and he's so mutated at this point that I figured he would have survived. What a weak, weak way to kill off the main antagonist of the series so far. It should have been an epic fight and an epic death, but no such luck. Honestly, RE4 is one of my favorite games, but the ending was terrible. Well RE5 upped the ante by having possibly the worst ending in video game history. I was more excited when I saw 8-bit Samus in her bra and panties. Knowing that that ending also held the true death of Wesker makes it that much worse. I almost vomited during "Is it all worth fighting for? Yeah, it's worth it."

If I recall correctly, she was tricking Wesker. This is Report 5 from the Separate Ways Campaign:
"It wasn't easy, but I'd say the mission has been a success. Getting my hands on the sample was my initial objective after all. But I've sent Wesker a different present, just as the Organization ordered. Pretending to work with him was entertaining."

So she isn't going to be in command even if it was the plot of RE6. ;P
