RUMOR leaked sega documents details possible home support

http://kotaku.com/5364863/apparent-internal-sega-document-describes-plans-for-game-line+up

"The alleged Sony-Sega meeting notes include multiple mentions of Sega working with Sony-specific initiatives. Sega's Vancouver 2010 Olympics game, Iron Man 2 and Aliens Vs. Predator are listed as candidates for spaces or avatar item downloads in the PlayStation Home virtual world"

In the document it outlines Segas Vancouver 2010 winter games, Iron man 2 and aliens vs predators as candidates for home spaces and avatar costumes. Keep in mind this is not 100% true but was allegedly posted on a sega website. I so hope sega joins home.

More 3rd party support?  Duh... sounds like a no brainer to me.

Any 3rd party support should be considered a win scenario.  Even if they just give us some boring gamespace with a few freebies is a good sign.  I just want to see support.  Enough companies hop on board, then you'll truly have a party!

I'd be incredibly sad if Sega, home of unique and interesting franchises like: Sonic, Phantasy Star, Valkyria Chronicles, and Yakuza, went with such "star material" like movie and Olympic licensed games for Home support. Aliens vs. Predator is going to be a good game, but they have over 20 years of franchises and those are what they're going with?

Yes, this is true. I posted the details regarding AVP nearly 2 hours ago and Sega has already demanded that the document detailing this info be taken down.

Yeah... I'm a bit "angered" that Phantasy Star Universe from Sonic Team only made its way to the PS2 and not the PS3. There are actually plenty of things in the game from a purely social networking standpoint that I wish Home would pick up on:

    - 6 person party chat with voice support where you can easily "boot" harassers... not to mention that you don't have to push-to-talk... not to mention that when you speak your player's name glows in orange letting you know that your voice is registering with the server...

    - a persisted private space that your friends can go to at any time

    - a messaging board in your private space that friends can respond to like a blog

    - wardrobe previews and full body costumes (which seem to be coming with Home 1.3 finally)

    - a casino complete with big roulette wheel and slots

    - a beach lobby (a very nice one at that)

    - AI-driven NPC companions (i.e. virtual pets, which should hopefully be coming to Home eventually, but they'll be for your private space only).

Keep in mind, this game was available in late 2006 after the PS3 launch (i.e. before the GDC 2007 Presentation for Home by Philly H.), it's only major downfall was a lack of timely updates b/c it was developed in Japan (then again, Home is developed in SCEE, and hasn't gotten functional updates very often either...). Not trying to be a naysayer, just pointing out some things Sega's already done that I wish would come to Home, having them develop for Home would be most beneficial but of course they could only work from a content perspective. Maybe one of these days I'll have to throw up a vid on Youtube and send it to Locust lol.

(Before anyone says don't compare an MMORPG to Home, I'm only speaking on the social networking aspects that I'd like to see come to Home, and before anyone says, "If you wanna play PSU just play PSU", well... I DO every once in a while, so what's your point?)

Anyways, don't forget about all of the Sega classic arcade games like Altered Beast, Shinobi, Outrun, Space Harrier, Alien Syndrome, Zaxxon, etc that could be developed as arcade games in Home and sold just like Namco did with their lineup.
