Excellet thread.  And a friendly reminder to everyone that Dexter is a mature series on Showtime, but the Playstation forum is still meant to be family friendly for 13 year old and up.  So let's not get too graphic with our discussion.

I got hooked on Dexter last season.  I need to go back and get season 1.  This year ended quite well, even though it was touch and go for a while there.  Now I have to wonder how much of an impact Rita's lying is going to have on Dexter in the next season.

I remember watching this back last May when Comcast had Season 1 and 2 on demand and I literally watched all the episodes in an entire weekend nearly non-stop. Seeing how addictive it was and how great the story was, I came into Season 3 really excited and expecting some great plot twists. It killed me to wait a week to watch each episode and now that it's done, I'm really wanting more. They ended Season 3 with a bang and I overall enjoyed it, but the 2nd season still holds a special place in my mind. The Doakes situation was pure genius and they REALLY pulled that one off.

    I can't wait till season 4.

Bout time, anyways I thought season 3 ended pretty underwhelming, episode 11 *miguel* had to of been the highlight of the season and the sequence after dexter killed miguel (fade to black with music playing backwards) gave me the chills. Season 3 has to be the best so far with dexters emotions running rampant and his backlash/acceptance of his fathers rules. Season 4 should start out entertaining with rita's lying about marriage and deb sooner or later finding out that dexters mother was harry's mistress (did she already find that out? I honestly cant remember).

Season 3 was not as good as 1 and 2. But still the best show on TV.

I think season 3 was easily the best (however I havent seen all of season 1), and not neccesarily the season finale, but the last 3 or 4 episodes before it; all I can say is wow. This season brought the tension and drama to a whole new level, and I thought Jimmy Smits was an excellent addition to the cast (and Ive never seen him act as well as he did on Dexter).

I'll be back after I finish season 3, but good idea makin a thread on this one.  Dexter would murder every other character in every other TV show.

The 3rd season is now over, what did u think of it?  was it your favorite season?

For me, the 3rd season was great.  Jimmy Smits' character brought a new twist to the show, could Dexter have an actual close friend/student?  In this case no, and because of that I don't think we'll see that happen again.  It nearly cost Dexter his life and the family that he is starting.  The first season was my favorite, only because it's the one that got me hooked.  Each season though just seems to be better than the last.

I never wanted to watch this but my friend let me borrow the DVD. I watched the first 2 episodes while working at home and got instantly hooked. After season 2 I couldnt wait for season 3 (had no Showtime) so I watched it all online!

This has to be one of my favorite shows, I hate Debra and my favorite has to be Masuka.
