I have been searching around for awhile and cant seem to find it! I am using L3 and my radar thing. Is there a better way i could find it?

There really isn't. If you have searched all the odd places, (the prison, perimeters of each island, borken-down dock on first island, top of skyscraper on third island, etc.), then you just have to search like you're doing now. You could use a map and check them off as you go, as I tried to do, but it's just tedious. You're better off just continuing to look. You'll eventually find it.

1. Find a map of shards online (www.gamefaqs.com)
2. Print it
3. Walk around the islands and cross out the shards that you are sure you have found

It's a pain, but if you pay attention and don't skip ahead eventually you will find the last shard by process fo elimination.

I made loops. I looped around the outside of an island all the way out the docks and wharfs. Then I picked a group of buildings and looped around the rooftops of the group and so on. You'll get it but have to be thorough.

I'd also just hop on the roof of a train and take a loop around the island.

Dude, I did the whole map thing. Went around each spot for like 3 hours and when I was finally done...I was still one shard short! So I know how frustrating that is.

But I thought about it for a moment, and I gathered that it couldnt have been an easy place to miss so I just started looking around the tough spots and finally found it at the very top of the prison along the outer wall on a ledge that was really tough to get to. So just think about the spots that you could have missed and start your search there.

I found this quite helpful to me...it was my personal strategy:

If it's your first playthrough, you should get trophies for every island you get all the blast shards on (neon district complete, etc). If you're missing one blastshard, look and see which trophy you're missing of the 3 and you'll figure out which island you should be looking on. Then what I did was just ride the train around hitting L3 every couple seconds.

If you still can't find it, every island is pretty much broken up into neighborhoods. Just go down through the little allyways. That's where a lot of em will be.

Your last shard is on the east coast of aeon and is 100 yrds off the coast on some broken stump poles in the middle of the water. You cant see it from your map orb. You must search the sides of the islands good!!

ye i feel your pain well not on infamous as im not goin to get any blast shards till i completed story mode missions and side missions but on gta 4 i did all the 200 spots and at the end i still got 2 left and im like "^*$@ i cannot believe i havent ^*$@*<} got all the ^*$@*<} pigeons yet"

What I did first was circle each island and checked the edges near water and docks, I found majority of the left over shards. I also found more than expected in the Neon district you basically have to work your way block by block to find them goodluck!

I know what you mean.  I'm missing 4 from Neon, I've got all from the Warren, and just started the Historic district.  I've searched and searched for the Neon ones.
