Noob friendly?

I have Wipeout on the PS3, and have to say it's one of my favs thing is though I am not that great lol

But see, it was the same thing with Super Stardust HD, I wasn't good at the PS3 one either because it was so hard which is the reason I kept playing it so much. But when Delta for the Vita came out, it seem to have made a few changes for newcomes while still having the challenge for the hardcore fans.

So does this one do that too? Just asking since it's $20 at Gamestop right now.

Re: Noob friendly?

Wipeout is one of those games where you get skilled through gobs of practice. Don't worry about coming in dead last or always playing Elite difficulty but never reaching podium finish.

Re: Noob friendly?

Well with wipeout 2048 they managed to make some small changes that help the people that are new to the wipeout series, The controls offer a racer type where it has better use for navigation compare to the original controls that some people never got used to them (ie my brother in law, I had to switch to the original controls) and the track themselves are actually wider that allow better movement .

Hope that helped :smileytongue:

Re: Noob friendly?

But if your wanting to know controls for say, the expansion packs on 2048, then prepare to go through trial and error finding out, plus the expansions do not use the same speed/physics as its original HD/Fury former.

I wouldn't say its a shotty port, but you get whatever it was featured.

Course its free if you already own it on PS3.

Re: Noob friendly?

Well, in single player, as with the other WipeOuts, you are given time to learn the controls, and become better as the speed classes increase.

Same kind of thing for multiplayer. Your races are objective based, so they start out easy, and become more difficult as you progress.
