It is definetly worth getting. It's two games in one which you know you can't pass up, the storyline may take awhile to really catch you, but what you really want to buy this game for is the multiplayer. GeoNet offers a lot such as a personal HomePage and your very own Georama town. It's best to quest with a few friends, but if you aren't the social type you may end up just using your single-player AI as our partners. That's something the first game did not have to offer.
The re-mastered version of White Knight Chronicles features the more in-depth combat system that is in White Knight Chronicles II. This makes the game more challenging, but adds more skill into the game. Learning your enemies weaknesses can make or break your battle. Along with a great new battle-system, they sharpened the graphics and made cutscenes widescreen to give them a much more "cinematic" feel than the original White Knight Chronicles.
So, if you like long lasting, action-packed games I'd say yes, White Knight Chronicles II is worth buying. I am having a lot of fun with it and I plan to continue with it. I wouldn't say it's a must have game though, if it's not on the top of your wishlist maybe you should wait for a price drop and just buy a used copy.

Hope to see U online sometime Yojimbo68. As of this writing level-wise I'm in my early 30s, I basically have a paladin type build a 2 handed weapon character with support magic.

I just restarted the other day. Now that I got my bluetooth ear piece working and have 4G (finally), I plan to trying playing online some. My character is a sword & board + healing type. Paladin-ish I guess you might say. Might be nice to be able to knock out those guild quests with help for a change.

I've been having fun with the first game so far. I added WKC2 to my birthday list simply because it had good looking graphics, a good length of available gameplay hours, and the knocks it received in reviews weren't for things that I care about in games. So far, the first game has been enjoyable, I'm looking forward to finishing both single player campaigs and then see what's available online.
