Major Doubles Tournament Hosted by Your Buds at SHC

Copy and pasted from SHC:

This  is the second official tournament brought to you by StarhawkCenter.net  and currently the one with easily the highest total prize value.

General Guidelines:

Anyone  with a copy of Warhawk for the PS3 and an internet connection are  allowed to attend this tournament, however it is up to you to find a partner that also fits these guidelines. Please note that we also have not yet decided if split screen will be supported in this tournament and  it will be held up to a community vote shortly following this post. In  the end, feel free to name your team anything you wish or simply be called by your usernames. A nickname sure would give you a bit more flare though!

The games will be decided by a randomized bracket and a  bracket's victors are determined by the most victories in a single  match. The game is held on a randomized set of maps and small to medium  sized layouts. All of the games will be held as first 2 out of 3 wins  for the beginning stages, 3 out of 5 up to the semi-finals, and the  semis and finals are 5 out of 7. A post in this section ("Warhawk Doubles") will be made for every assigned game and at the end of each game you are required to send the end result ticket information to that thread or the assigned tournament's mediator (StarhawkCenter_Bot). A completely separate thread will also track the overall progress of the tournament, including memorable quotes, videos, and pictures where it applies.

Finally, enjoy yourself and have fun! It's time to find  out just who is the best duo in Warhawk of the current generation before  Starhawk releases. Fight for the prizes and that undisputed title of  "Best Warhawk Duo." Entries are being accepted immediately and the tournament will begin sometime after the next week and a half. We will immediately update this post when that information is available.

The Prizes:

BOTH winners of the tournament will receive one (1) of the following prize sets:

  • PSN Cards worth a total of $30USD, a 3-Month Subscription to PS+, and the rare Rift Hunter Starhawk DLC.
  • A 1-Year Subscription to PS+ and the rare Rift Hunter Starhawk DLC.
  • A PSN Card worth $50USD and the rare Rift Hunter Starhawk DLC.
  • $50USD in cold, hard cash and the rare Rift Hunter Starhawk DLC.

Both  you and your partner are allowed to select different prize sets, the  same sets, or combine them both and give them to one of yourselves (or a completely different person!). So  that's possibly as much as hundred bucks in prizes if you take that  route! It pays to have generous friends in this situation.

The Rules:

  • When  it comes to cheating, the burden of proof falls on the accuser. It is  up to you to provide, on the judgement of an SHC.net Staff vote,  irrefutable evidence. Those that have been ruled to have cheated or  broken the General Guidelines of the tournament will be disqualified and  face possible banishment from all future SHC.net tournaments. It's just  not worth it to cheat. (Extreme lag that cannot be corrected in one  attempt will result in a simple forfeit.)
  • A special mediator has been assigned for this tournament. Once it gets underway, you are to no longer contact me or any other SHC Staff about any ticket disputes, but instead this account: StarhawkCenter_Bot Any tournament related tickets or disputes submitted to SHC Staff besides StarhawkCenter_Bot's inbox or specific thread can be ignored and you can end up being disqualified! So please pay attention to who you are submitting your PMs to! You may also publicly submit a complaint to your assigned game thread only.
  • StarhawkCenter_Bot will randomly decide who is to host. If there is a dispute, a neutral party will be selected to host. Both semi-finals and finals will be host neutral.
  • Times must be decided within 30 hours exactly from when your bracket was posted and can only be within 5 days to the date it was posted. If no time can be found you may ask for an extension, which will be approved or denied on a per case basis.  If you are denied you have either the 5 days OR an extra 8 hours to  decide when the game starts, before whomever is holding back the game forfeits. Depending on the situation you both will forfeit.
  • A  no show without a reasonable excuse or purposefully stalling your game  will result in a forfeit and you will be up for review for possible  banishment of all future official SHC tournaments. (So at least give everyone a reason!)
  • The  tournament will only begin if a bracket of at least 16 people is  secured. However, if only a bracket of 16 is made, then all prize sets  may decrease in value by as much as half. So if you want to possibly win some great  stuff, get out there and start recruiting people for this tournament!

Disclaimer:

A mailing address is required if you win, in order to send you your prizes. It must be provided within 7 days of winning and must be verifiable or you forfeit your prizes. You must also provide an address that can reasonably receive mail from the United  States of America. This is non-negotiable.

Your address will not  be shared with anyone and will solely be viewable by yourself and I,  KoingWolf, as the administrator of StarhawkCenter.net. It will never be  given to a third party.

You enter this tournament as a complete  willing participant in any and all changes made to it's rules,  guidelines, regulations, and prizes and to any actions of SHC and it's  staff done in relation to this tournament.

Good luck to any and all who enter this, we hope you enjoy yourselves and remember, to keep us alive and able to bring these exciting tournaments to you, please support us!

This is officially cross posted on the Playstation Forums and StarhawkCenter.net.

Yes, a minority of the games required to win will be air combat only. So if you have to win 3 out of 5, at least 1 or 2 will be reserved for a dogfight layout, depending on what is choosen out of the pool of random maps and layouts.

KoingWolf are you going to do more community events like the guy with the blue name on the starhawk forums does for that community?
