How do I report boosting?

One day, I was playing WARHAWK, and I encountered several matches with boosting. I was booted from all of them! I feel that boosting prevents people like me who want to enjoy the game. Anyway, someone who was boosting in the match I was kicked from sent me a nasty message, and I grief reported it. Is there anyway I can report him in WARHAWK for boosting/ cheating?

Re: How do I report boosting?

So, before I answer this....

Just tell me - HOW does someone else's boosting affect you?  Other than the overwhelming, frustrating, and general feeling that Cheaters suck and should pay in blood?

Other than that - How does boosting affect you?  I'm genuinely curious and not trying to troll you or anything.

He got kicked from a stat padding room. That is how it affected him.

Re: How do I report boosting?

*shrugs*

So, don't go into a padding room.  Its not like they're hard to detect from the get-go.  Typically 8 players max, and a quick glance at the score board before you even spawn out initially will tell you all you need to know.

Anyway. Stttaaaaayyyyyyyyyy awaaaaaaaayyyyy from padding rooms/servers.... guilt by association is a sucky thing.  Lots of stories of people playing legit in a padding room getting stripped of their points or whathaveyou simply because they were there.  Those who kicked you may have actually done you a favor, OP.  Personally, unless I know the host (Old_Seadog), or have previous experience in a Player Ranked Server (Tomsbridge), I stay out of the PR servers - or host my own.

Also - I know some people that that know some people that run padding rooms and the people I know play in said padding rooms-often. I Know them real well.  I can tell you - most of them have ranked up to General legitimately under another id once already, and are boosting for shizz and giggles under alts with long-time WH friends simply because they've done all there is to do in WH already.  Now they're just goofing off IN ADDITION to playing in the officials under their General id when they're not goofing off under an alt and boosting.   IMO, that's better than developing an ALT just to go into the green servers and hate on green peas and drive off a lot of new blood in this game.

Re: How do I report boosting?

If you have a problem with boosting stay away from "10 min zones". That server stat pads big time. Only good thing about them is, they won't boot you, just keep you.

I don't have a problem with people that do that. I hav emore a problem with Vet pilots who constantly use the TOW just to kill one person and not help their team out by winning. That to me is a bigger problem in WH.

Re: How do I report boosting?

Amen, PJ.  LOL

Honestly - MOST of the boosters I know really have been at this game since launch.  They've been there, done that, have ranked up the hard way, and are now just goofing off with friends, just for the lulz.

But they did used to pazz me off until I was 'pulled aside' and had it splained to me by someone I know and love in RL....

Now I just leave 'em alone.  This late in the life of WH, what difference does it make, honestly?

Also - for those who are padding to get to general faster than they deserve?  Look at it this way - those guys are usually easily spotted as posers.

Be worthy of your rank, sir.  Be worthy of it, and you'll gain a lot of respect that way, far more than the guys looking to rank up faster than they deserve (as opposed to the alts that are goofing off).

As to the nasty message - if unprovoked, it was uncalled for.

well said. Boosters arent hard to pick out of a croud either. Their the ones flaunting the gold star. Yet play and fly like a butter-bar. all the points you want wont make you better unless you put the time into it.

Re: How do I report boosting?

I also think its important to point out - there's a difference between BOOSTERS... and PADDERS, imo.

Boosters - People just looking to get SONY trophys and weird badges.  Possibly already ranked up to General the hard way, and probably playing under a ridiculous Alt with a silly clan tag.  These people have been there, done that, don't CARE if you report them and strip the alt id.  They're just killin time till Starhawk launches, chillin' with friends, probably chatting in a private chat about 'the good old days of WH'.  Possibly looking to see how fast it can be done, just to say they've done it for shizz n giggles.  Most likely have their own room set up, specifically to goof off.  These people don't affect me, I could care less, in fact its probably pretty fun if you know the people in the room well enough you can shoot the sh|t about WH's glory days and b.s. about RL.

Padders - People looking to rank up faster than they deserve by hook or by crook.  There are different degrees of Padders, different classes if you will.  Some people pad less than 500 points just because they're antsy and ready to rank up, and already have all the 'shiny' stuff (team cross medal, 4x4 badge, DAS ribbon, etc) and just want to get it over with.    Many of them spend a LOT of time in unranked servers, and deserve a much higher rank than they have - but rank isn't too important to them.  Every now and then they get the fever for more cowbell, and go forth and pwn in various ranked servers until they get close to where they want to be then pad the remaining points.  And that's ok in my book.  I know people that have done this, and they are ( in my eyes ) still beasts at this game.

Then you have the people racking up insane points with a crazy good KDR, and they LOOK good on the stats pages, but SUCK when you finally get them in a hard-core server.  Prime example:  A random general joined my clans server several months ago, everyone was saying, OOO, watch him, that general is on the ground, making a run for the flag... and I can't tell you how many times ne wb y ol' me killed him... on the ground... with a knife or wrench.  He was good in the air - at A2G, but couldn't play on the ground for crap, couldn't dogfight to save his life.  Cut him off from his planes, and he played like a low rank.  I suspect he was a padder.  Conversely, you have people that are the true Generals, that earned every bit of blood and bruises and badges, earned their stripes, and you know them when you encounter them.  They are truly worthy of respect, they really are.  The true padders, the hard core padders, don't affect me either - because I know they'll get pwnd by the real mccoys out there, and still talk smack, and still think they got that star the hard way - never mind that its made of tin.

You need to get it recorded and forward the video to incognito or forward the names to people at incognito so they can witness it happening in game.
