I thought the creators of Starhawk were basically the creators of Warhawk.
And I think Incognito was the developer? and the publisher was Santa Monica?
Which still means that there can be a sequal to Warhawk?
Not really. When Warhawk launched, almost all of the guys behind the company had already left. At the time i read that only a handful of people remained at Incognito maintaining Warhawk running. I don't know exactly how much of Warhawk we need to credit Dylan for, but it seems clear now that there's enough people missing there from the team that made Warhawk to make LBI uncapable of reproducing what made Warhawk great. And that applies to a direct sequel or to a spiritual successor in the same measure.
Unless Warhawk 2 would just be copy/paste, but i'd hope even the most hardcore WH fan would feel betrayed by that.
Starhawk was created by the same person that created Warhawk, Dylan Jobe. He's taken on a lot of criticism and is constantly trying to better the game to this day to make it look and feel better. Warhawk was created with the appearance of a WW2 feel. Starhawk has the Cowboy/Space futuristic feel such as movies like Serenity or the show Firefly which is essentially the same thing with the cast/company etc. The ideals of both games are the same, but the achievements, look, and weaponry are slightly different. Heck, back in the day playing pong, or a racing game on the old Atari was nothing. Then along came Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo and everybody was blown out of their mind saying, wow, this game is awesome!!!.. Now we have a much more advanced game, with faster game play, multiplayer action, and a lot more obstacles than you could imagine playing pong with, and I see a lot of people complain about it. I only have 3 suggestions, Be happy that you have a video game to play, stop playing it if you don't like it, or go outside and be recreational. Its a beautiful day outside, enjoy the fresh air!
I'll never quite understand the logic behind "warhawk 2". In a completely serious way, I ask...if you don't like Starhawk because it's not like Warhawk...why don't you just stick to Warhawk?
I personally applaud all parties involved with the creation of Starhawk, if only for the fact that they didn't take the "easy" approach and clone their game, and re-release it with new maps annually.
COD has proven the fact that if you don't change your game up, and just add new guns and such, it gets stale.

Well, I know this is old, but I don't know if you know that there actually exists a hope for WH2. These images are old, but it's the ONLY thing we know about WH2:
Sorry for my bad english.
You're right, those are old, which explains it all.
Warhawk was a PS1 game launched back in 1995.
When PS3 came along, they were working on a sequel. So the obvious thing to do would be to name it Warhawk 2.
But perhaps because most people had already forgot about the first, some would be confused, so they dropped the "2" and simply went with Warhawk again.
Same name, but still the Warhawk game we all think about is in fact Warhawk 2. What people now refer to as a possible Warhawk 2 would be a sequel to the PS3 game, and for that one there's no indication of any direct sequel.
