Ideas that might balance the sniper

Don't know if this has been said before but please correct me if it has.

Everyone knows that the sniper is now THE weapon to get a hold of. My idea to balance it is for the dragon sniper to have the red dot beam like how it is for enemies in the story and in co-op. This would make the wielder of the sniper rifle more obvious which would help out players trying to counter it. It would also aid players trying to dodge and evade sniper fire.

What do you guys think? Is this a good idea?
Also if you have a solution that you think would be better please add it.

Other great ideas that may also balance the sniper!

- Make it so that the aiming reticle is gone and you have to click it in when sniping. provided by grubbyboy5

- Making it so that the sniper reloads after each shot. Provided by DavidTheUnicorn

If an ND representative just happens to be read this, please at least field test these ideas. Their worth a shot. (no pun intended)

I like that idea a lot, Kudos to you. Only problem could be lag, you roll and you still might get hit. It's better than nothing though, it is a very nice idea.

I didn't think about that. But it is a factor that should always be considered.

The entire point of the sniper is stealth, the wide red dot kinda gives it away.

 

My idea is to bring the hitbox back where it'll take two hits on arm & leg shots and 1 hit kill on chest and head.

Well, not entirely. Maybe the common idea of a sniper would be because when you think sniper you think of a guy in a ghillie suit hiding in a tree somewhere.
Not so much with uncharted 2's mp however. But that would have to depend more on your play style.
