Curiosity: Why do the people you can't join still have the option?

12 replies 353 views Edited Dec 27, 2012

Why do the people you can't join still have the option for us to join them if we can't join them, but the people we can join we don't have an option to join, but have to be invited?

You cant join them because you  can not connect to that person.

If you think something is impossible, you’ll make it impossible.

But it gives you the option to join.

Lemme guess... "Unable to join party"?

That option remains open until he locks his party.

"Unable to join" But gives you an option to join...

People you can join, you don't have an option but need an invite....

The game doesn't know that you will be unable to connect which is why you still have the option to join the party. Do you get it now?

And some people you can't join because they haven't created a party. Just because someone is in a lobby doesn't mean you can join them. They need to create a party for people to be able to join by inviting someone. A party gets created after you invite someone which is why, when you first go into the lobby when you load the multiplayer, it says "Creating Party..." or something like that when you invite somebody. Do you get it now?

not to mention, for me anyways, their status takes a while to update.

For example it can say "in lobby" and not let me join because they are technically finding a game or in a match already

Yeah the status is not always up to date but I think my 2 posts above are the correct explanations. Can somebody just verify what I said is correct?
