How can people...

Who have Uncharted 2 but not UDF call themselves Uncharted fans? They talk about how much they love U2, and I ask them, "so have you played UDF?" And when their response is no, my jaw drops!

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune is just as good as U2, and all people who call themselves Uncharted fans should have atleast played all the games! (all 2)

I have both of them! I wouldn't say DF is better, I think U2 is 10/10, and DF is 8.5/10

Do you feel me?

personally, on the story level, UDF is way better. it just grabbed a hold of me and didnt let me go. the gameplay had graphics of course were not as great as U2 but im hoping U3 will comine the two to make the best sequel yet

i agree though, everyone who claims to love uncharted should play UDF, and honestly theyre probably just on the ride of band wagon if they dont :smileytongue:

This might be well off the mark, but a lot of people seem to have... sort of forgotten about the SP element, or rather it doesn't mean so much to them. Of course Drake's Fortune didn't have Multiplayer, so I wonder how many people even have it in mind?

Maybe some mean 'games I am playing at the moment'? And they haven't played Fortune for a couple of years.

Earlier this year I Platinumed UCDF, and this was my second game on the PS3. (First played first not long after trophy patch)

MY game collection is small a few PC, 2 PS2, a few Vic20, and 8 PS3, rest of games belong to family, ie I payed for them but not mine.

UC1 was my first PS3 game, and UC2 was out at that time. I bought Uncharted because I was a huge Jak & Daxter fan, and I liked it enough that I bought UC2 :smileyhappy:.

Now whenever I play it again the controls feel weird. Especially with throwing grenades.

yay my friends do that too they skipped killzone 2 for 3 and uncharted 1 for 2 and resistance and so on just cause they always get the newest one. But UDF's story doesn't really matter toard uncharted 2 except that cutscene when you bump into elena.

I brought UC2 first (as I didn't have a ps3 til 09) but I enjoyed it so much that I went and brought UDF, not only was I glad as it was a really good game back it also added to my UC2 experience as somethings made alittle more sense like who Elena actually was lol!

I would still consider them fans. I don't think you have to play/love every iteration of a game in order to be considered one. I would consider those that come on this forum to talk about Uncharted, have played one/both game(s) multiple times, and just love to series to be more hardcore fans.

You can be a fan of something without having experienced or loving the entire canon.  I'm a fan of Indiana Jones despite not particularly loving The Crystal Skull.  I'm a fan of Star Trek despite not having seen most of the original series.  Now I'll give you, as there have only been 2 Uncharted games, it's a bit hard to believe that someone who truly loved UC2 wouldn't want to also experience UDF.  But perhaps they're put off by the fact that there's no multiplayer.

Either way, I think somebody who loves UC2 can still consider themself a fan even if they didn't play UDF.
