Sorry the funny part I forgot to mention is when people can't blindfire and you just keep rolling so they can't melee you. Sure lag and random timing would make it harder but I'd still laugh when it worked against them.

It sometimes seems that way. Most of the time when i get white plugged Im about 10 feet away from an enemy. -_-

I have a solid ADSL2+ connection (soon to be upgraded to VDSL2), my PS3 uses Ethernet and I've never seen the white plug in Competitive matches.

You need to have packet loss in the first place (due to WiFi and/or bad upload) to see the white plug.

It's packet loss, but you need to have packet loss for an extended period of time (not sure for how long) to see it.

For example, in UC2 MP you are penalized only if you have packet loss for more than 5000ms/5 secs.

Packet loss means that your connection does not exchange packets (chunks of data) with the host's connection for some reason (WiFi interference, network congestion, bad upload etc).
