I have a Slim console and I never had this issue.
Have you downloaded the latest 1.01 patch (44MB)?
Yeah i got the patch. This hapened to me in the beta before, i alredy posted about this issue, played 10 games after the beta and no issue.
I know you might not have the problem in your slim but perhaps someone else has, or perhaps nauthy dogs will double check on the 60 gb, im pretty sure im not the only early adopter that has a running 60gb ps3 in the world.

Btw, I never said that you already have the YLOD.
I said YLOD imminent = YLOD is coming (sooner or later)... if your console turns off randomly, that's a first sign.
Other games don't push the PS3 hardware so much, that's why you only see it in Uncharted 3...

So my ps3 is wating for YLOD since U3 Beta?
Yes. 60GB models are prone to YLOD, sooner or later.
You may not use it for a week, it will cool down and when you start playing UC3 again, it will turn off randomly at some point, due to overheating.
Also, I don't know where you live, but keep in mind that the climate/temperature plays a huge role... someone may have the 60GB model and no overheating issues, because he lives in Sweden for example.

The first XBOX360 and the first PS3 use the same technology (90nm) for manufacturing chips, that's why they suffer from overheating (RROD/YLOD).
The failure rate is more like 50% for both of them.
ND won't respond here, the best they can tell you is to contact the Sony Customer Care support... ND is not responsible for hardware issues.

Dude first failure rate is 50% is a lie, if it was at that level we would have RROD coverage all over the internet.
I told you already 10% of 40 million units is a lot of people thats why you see the articles at all.
Again if it was a hardware issue i would have a problem in any of the 10 games i got this year. Why do you keep insisting on it? let it go, as a matter of fact ive been playing(deus ex, la noire, portal 2) all day today and not one crash.
If it was YLOD i would take it to Sony, but is just not happining anywhere else it just cant be a hardware issue, is just not possible no matter how demanding U3 is, it is made for PS3 from 60gb models to slims,

OK, you don't seem to understand that Deus Ex or any other multiplatform game is not as demanding as Uncharted 3 is, so let's agree that we disagree...
you may wait for ND to respond, but it could take very long.
Good luck!
ps: I never called you a liar, please be more considerate and get your facts straight next time. PS3 has sold 51.8 million units worldwide.

To OP you are correct, statistics are skewed, only people with the problem complain. the other 36 million that bought one say nothing. Failure rate for Xbox was very high for launch consoles. Very much around 10% or less for PS3. Don't worry you are correct. Tap is the resident know it all around here who gets his facts from jumping on bandwagons instead of duing actual research.
Sure there is a possibility your console will die, everyone has that possibility. But it's not a definite as he would try to make you believe. If you have an opinion different from his he'll get mad. Seen it a hundred times.
Now on to your issue. if it continues to turn off take it to a specialist and have them look it over. Could be a number of things. Faulty wire, faulty power supply, dust, etc... It could be getting ready to YLOD, there are hundreds of possibilities. I do recomend getting it looked at before it becomes anything serious. The last thing you wanna do is have your console die, or not turn on and you can't retrieve your saves to transfer to a new console.
