1) Its not that only. The high level players start new accounts and just get the lower levels anyways.

2) So I guess the only way to make it fair is on base matchmaking on killratio.

1) True. Too many alts.

2) That would be an equally bad idea. Why? Because they could exploit that as well -> alt party leader with a highly deflated KDR.

The only fair matchmaking is a ping-based matchmaking.

Same thing can be said about ping-based matchmaking-> Host with good ping rest of the team with bad ping. A no party mode with a matchmaking on killratio would be best.

1) If the party leader is from Japan and the rest of the team is from North America or Europe, then whose fault that is?!

Protip: choose your party leader WISELY.

2) People would still use low KDR alts to troll noobs.

The OP was about him getting matched up against parties not lag.

#2 Doesn't even make sense.

Of course it makes sense. There are a couple of ways to deflate your KDR if you want to.

Mercenary won't be implemented, because the player pool is too small. Deal with it.

Any matchmaking where a party is involved should not be based on the party leader but average all party members, and maybe account for number in the party.

Like if they matched by W/L then it should be the average W/L of all people in the party, and then maybe a plus .2 W/L per person in the party added to the average used for matchmaking, to account for the added chances of winning for a party. These calculations would be made instantly right when you go into matchmaking because it locks your party from people joining, so it shouldn't be hard for the game to handle it. Just average the W/L of up to 5 people and add .2 for each person in the party above 1. The same theory could apply to K/D, level, and any other stats used for matching. Not sure how they could do it for ping though.  That would be one of the drawbacks for a party though, and not so much an exploit for parties.

Ping should only be based on the party leader's connection. Otherwise, people would be "forced" to invite regional friends only. That would suck.

Anyway, putting so many parameters in the matchmaking algorithm can only make it slower, laggier and even buggier as well... just keep ping and get rid off the rest.

Tap has a point on deflating ratio. You know how much people underestimate me because I decided to screw my stats up for that reason? You know what happens next? 10 headshots in a row.

But we know ND doesn't like to keep it simple. And the doing averages for the algorithm wouldn't be work intensive because it's a pretty simple calculation. I just wish that when ND did use other parameters that they would take into consideration things like averages, I wasn't actually suggesting that they try to use all of those parameters at once.

For Ping I wish there was a better way but any attempts to try and account for a whole parties connection would probably just as imprecise as just matching by the party leaders ping, and since ping is also relevant to the players that you get matched against it wouldn't be a set value like K/D or level.
