I received Sony's headset this Christmas. For the most part, not feeling excited with the vulgar language used online. I started singing & people started telling me postivite things. My original intention was to disrupt communication. So my question is, have you had any benefits from singing during online play (strategy-wise). My motive backfired on me causing large amounts of messages.

And this is why there is a mute button. In all honesty, if you were singing over the mic, I would probably swear at you or tell you to shut the **bleep** up.

When I used to use my mic, I was almost silent, I would just say "aww" if someone killed me.

Then I ended up having two really bad, and embrassing situations while it was on, and refused to use it again.

I have mine on rarely, usually only when friends who know I have one ask me to.

I have had times that I song Bob Marley with a friend while playing uncharted 3 and I have not had any strategy effects out of it only the positive effect that it makes us laugh (which is always good), but our kdr is not exactly better then.

What does help atleast is lisening to music and really concentrate on the game, but that only helps if your going solo.

Back in U2 i use to raise the voice pitch an say WAAAAAAAAAALL_EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE(when aproaaching undetecte)...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVAAAAAA(after i kill em)

but know i dont use it cus i feel it makes my game slower and or influences my outcome
