Same scenario applies to killed behind cover and grenade survivors.
Lag compensation is weighted toward the laggy players for some reason. BO2 and MW3 have the same problem. I guess game devs love people with crappy internet or are far away geographicly. Sad state of P2P games.

no it's not lag, it is completely possible to hit someone when they are rolling (how would it not! that's like saying you can't hit someone while they are crouching (if crouching was possible in this game that is)) you can avoid a melee by rolling in a certain direction, if you don't roll in the right direction you'll be hit
