Classic mode is going to render Hardcore competely useless, so just add a Mercenary playlist to replace Hardcore and everyone wins.
wait...I seem to remember ND (eric) stating that Classic Mode will REPLACE Hardcore.
As in, upon CM's introduction, HC will cease to exist.
Can anyone back me up here?
I fear adding Mercenary, on top of Classic, will not be so good for the player pool though..
Like alot of things for UC3, this should have been in the game FROM THE START. Now, I know alot of folks like to play with their friends and all, but look, it's 2012 for christsakes, and a mercenary version of TDM should have been in place.
Maybe these are the kind of details that slip through the cracks when you develop two games at the same time?
Mercenary should only be implemented if:
1) The game goes free2play (bigger player pool).
2) They consolidate 10-player modes (TDM, Plunder, TO, HC, Lab, Elim, Classic etc.) into a single playlist (All Competitive). Then we can have All Competitive Mercenary and All Competitive for Parties. It would also promote variety.
3) Late join is enhanced to work with parties.
4) DLC maps become free for everyone (the DLC toggle wouldn't be needed in that case).
yes but there should be more than 1 playlist - 3 would be cool, one would be like objective playlist from UC2 (covers plunder and lots other modes), then one for all the dethmatch modes, then lab.
in voting screen you would need a choice of 3 or 4 modes and then have another vote for the map then
1000% agree,that there should be a no party mode. I definitely agree that it should be a playlist that has tdm,plunder,and TO as the choices to vote.
It so discouraging playing this game against full parties of 5th legacy lvl 75 people. Or a party of 6 or 7 with the 2 people on my team helping their buddies on the other team boost for things.
So it would have to be made so you cant invite anyone to the game or cant be joined in progress through your friends list.
