M9 + RoF = KAL-7?

31 replies 353 views Edited May 5, 2013

So, as some to none of you still know, I'm an avid KAL user (when I recently Legacied my classes felt uncomplete :smileysad:).

And of course, everyone knows that almost everyone online uses the M9. There are also those people who use the despicable Rate of Fire mod on their already gdlk M9.

The infamous KAL-7 seems like it would be the bestest evarz at blindfiring, but everytime I face someone using a M9 RoF in a blindfire war, we either both die or I end up losing? Why is this?

I mean, the KAL-7 is already hard to aim, but then when Mr. M9 comes over to show up dat KAL, the KAL seems pointless to use!

I find this quite ridiculous. I refuse to use RoF based off of principle, but it's starting to seem more and more interesting.

I use Rate of Fire and Blindfire accuracy on my KAL, and I can get 1 kill in close quarter combat, maybe 2 with militia man. It's not a great gun by any means. Especially in comparison to the M9. You just gotta know the exact range of the KAL, you fire too early, you're screwed. Fire too late, you're screwed. You fire on time, and you actually have a chance.

How about you use the M9 (no RoF) , FAL, or G-MAL instead?

BECAUSE
I like using underused weapons. It's fun.
And it's funny when you **bleep** people off by "aiming your KAL-7 like an AK".

I don't use the KAL unless I'm doing bad, then it's on.

Nah. I played with the G-mal earlier and it was my M9 ROF killer. The M9 ROF will almost always beat me at close range if I have an AK. If I can just get a little bit of strafing distance, I can beat a typical tryhard, but it isn't a 100% sure thing.
