That was for balancing purposes (obviously) and their intended roles did not change.


But isn't that what they did with the Kal? It was a weapon you could aim with in single player, but it was best at blind-fire, just like it is in multi-player.

Not trying to be a fact Nazi but the KAL 7 isn't a submachine gun. It's a carbine. Why? A submachine gun is an automatic "rifle I guess you can say" that fires pistol caliber bullets. The AKS-74U fires an intermidate cartridge. 5.45x39mm

The AKS (KAL 7) is a smaller version of the AK -74. Also it shoots pretty slow (650 rpm I think)

For the record, I find that pic of a gold KAL and Dragon waaaaay too convenient, and also I always aim my KAL 7 and only aim my KAL 7.
