It's been talked about by Uncharted fans countless times, the pick for who should play the role of Nathan Drake in the movie. Of the candidates out there, Nathan Fillion is one of the most popular. He kind of resembles the character in part, although it's that "kind of" aspect that I don't think would make him the perfect choice.
Nolan North himself does the voice; in that much he is Nathan Drake. However... once again, his look doesn't quite cover the most ideal matchup. Since his schedule is also stuffed with everything in the voice business already, his place as the star of a feature film probably isn't what Hollywood directors have in mind.
Now Bradley Cooper makes for a great Nathan Drake. Although he's not the voice of Drake, he does sound more like him than any of the other actors I've heard related to this story (besides North). His look also matches up pretty well. With the ability to pull off action and comedy in a Nathan Drake way, it's hard to think anyone else could pull it off as well as he could.
Mark Wahlberg is the furthest portrait and sound device I think we've seen of all cards fans have laid out on the possible Nathan Drake table. And as for James Franco... with slight resemblance on both brown hair and face, as far as the voice and acting talent goes (based on his previous work), in the end I don't think he would capture the essence of Drake's character
Lol, De Franco, lose the De, don't know where that came from.
Bradley Cooper is the obvious choice.
The directors latest film was Bradley Cooper, so they know each other fairly well.
Jeffery Donovan is awesome in Burn Notice, but he has that sort of slow voice, if you know what I mean, and he's never really extactic like Drake.
James Franco? I really don't see the drake in him... who could possibly nail the action hero thing, the voice, the universal appeal and the smart **bleep** comedic chops of Drake? besides Nolan North? The ultimate choice is Hollywood heavyweight Bradley Cooper, it's as if he was born for the role:
I saw Nathan Fillion on a film Serenity the other day as well as snippets from Castle and I don't see what the fuss is all about. The dream choice for Drake isn't Fillion, it's Nolan North... he is Drake, but knowing Hollywood; Cooper is the perfect candidate. Plus the film process should be a happy one, Neil Burger directed Bradley in the critically acclaimed Limitless: "Neil Burger directs Limitless with plenty of visual panache, and Bradley Cooper makes for a charismatic star."
What do you think?
