What do you guys think about giving the Tau a zoom option? Didn't the Tau used to have a shotgun like reticule? Maybe that is what should come up when you aim, and for more long range encounters you could zoom in by pressing R3/X.

I liked the shotgun reticule. That should return.

Well well well... this is a good topic something that isnt about a gun being OP or some other stupid thing. Well I agree w/the add more mods to it to help it as well as increase its accuracy, but if you make it a two shot its basically a mag5 that you can equip before a match starts... yeah i think people would wrather prefer a mag in their loadout other than the para micro or raffica. My solution on this is just make it "the tau" make it a 4-5 shot pistole w/the 18 bullets. It wont become OP and youll see a decent amount of people using it... agree dissagree like dont like?

Good luck! You'll need it. That and Daredevil. And when you've achieved that Five Not Alive you should also submit it to a best play series on Youtube so everyone will faint in amazement after watching your clip. =P

If you get a FNA with the Tau only I will eat my shorts.

Yes, the damage should not be touched -- it's fine the way it is now. It's the other tweaks that are needed to make the Tau a viable sidearm.

I'm a Tau Sniper user, I've got some decent kills and sometimes headshots and I also need to add some more reasoning regarding to your arguement (this isn't disagreement; rather supporting):
Tau Sniper's Scope Zoom
I've come to realized that the Tau Sniper's scope zoom is exactly the same as aiming with a power weapon, try aiming a Hammer or RPG with Tau as your sidearm. What's the disadvantage side is your side vision is blocked off with a terrible scope design, not to mention your aiming is slow down thanks to aim assist.
Tau Sniper's Damage
Personally, Tau's Damage chart is fine and fair, 3 bodyshots and 2 headshots per kill sounds like a powerful pistol. If you know how and when how to use it, the pistol is decent, not awesome, decent. It shouldn't get buffed nor nerfed at all.
Rapid Fire and Mods
There's already a trick how you can fire faster with the Tau without even using the Rapid Fire mod. I'm not sure if this was a rushed decision or add just forsake of being the least mods out of the pistols. I understand if the gun is a revolver, but why not have a clip size mod, instead of 6, make it 8 rounds?
Utilize its potiential
There's no doubt that Tau Sniper is a very different loadout than the rest of the pistol, but it does have the potiential to make the sidearm very deadly if using the correct tactic. Here some of my advice:
- Don't ever use Tau Sniper up against one on one, you'll most likely lose head to head.
- Act like a Spy; Chloe's Tau can be very useful thanks to Call out mod, even if you don't get a kill, but you'll get assistance medal. You might be lucky to score a kill if fast enough.
- Play one step ahead; Your opponent sometimes will most likely to flee, because Tau's Rate of Fire is low, you need to act fast and smart. This is the tip I most likely score a kill with the Tau if done it correctly.
Good on you for create this arguement, Triple. +1 support from me.
