I can understand why the Block Mesh maps are going to be deathmatch-based due to the fact that it would require more work on ND's end to setup Plunder and OBJ variants for them.
However we are getting all the Block Mesh maps at some point for custom games, so it's possible they will add Plunder/OBJ mode functionality to them eventually. Who knows, maybe we'll get separate Block Mesh playlists in the future (or at least have them mixed in to some playlists), one can dream can't they?

I'm disappointed that TDM is being restricted to TDM only. I was hoping to be able to play some old school Plunder, but I'm just glad we're actually getting the mode. The high health in Hardcore always annoyed me, so it will be a breath of fresh air to have a wonderful alternative.
So Hardcore is going to be replaced with Classic Mode? W T F!!! i like playing some hardcore, i happen to find less lag during the mode than the rest, i like snipping on that mode is fun and now we're going to get it as a classic mode with same AK and Para guns, bad move IMO

ND should keep both modes. I am looking forward to classic, but I really enjoy hardcore and them replacing it is a bad decision
This was always my beef with Classic Mode. I didn't want CM cluttering the playlists and dividing the player pool.
But now, it's coming, on top of new post-launch gamemodes like Lab and Elim.
And instead of CM adding to the playlists, it's replacing Hardcore. A mode that adds variety, due to having no Kickbacks, no boosters, and more health. So now that variety is gone. And Hardcore fans are screwed over.
Personally, if Classic Mode is done properly (no kickbacks is a must), then I will never touch TDM again.
Bottom line is, if Classic Mode does not monopolize the player pool to badly, overall I will be fine with it.
