It will definitely be better. It would be cool to see it packaged with THPS2 or something like the new medal of honor game. Also, it needs an option to play without the board.

That's a great idea, it should come with a remade version for PS3. Or at least a voucher to download the game of PSN (if they ever put the game on the store). And if it comes without the board, the game will definitely be better than ride...

Well, shred will be more improved over ride. Because sequels usually are. But, to what extent we still don't know. Because Shred wasn't really shown all that much at E3. So, all we really know is that Shred will be cell-shaded and...yes, will keep the board. Whether or not there will be a classic controller option is still unclear.

So really, there has to be an acceptance of the fact that the skateboard peripheral is here to stay. But, how much the classic arcade gameplay can return to the series is still in question. Because Shred needs to be more than a tech demo for the board, like Ride was.

The truth is that if Shred can't improve on Ride and be a better game, then the Hawk series is done. Because the series needs to get better, not worse. And even I think that Ride was a step in the wrong direction.
