Upgraded melee vs upgraded melee?

I have tried to put up with this for a long time now and just say its lag, but it's just way to common an annoying. Is anyone else getting sick of the moments when in a upgraded melee vs upgraded melee on your screen it clearly shows you swing first yet the other person always wins. I honestly am getting sick of this. Every time I swing first I'm always the one on the loseing end. What's worse is about 50% of the time it will register the hit, but the guy doesn't get downed while I do and I lose my upgraded weapon. Is anyone else sick of this?

When ever it happens to me (and its ALOT) the animations always differ

 

I swing from the side while the enemy swings overhead. 

 

Hate it when you hear the stab sound only for the game to be like "nope" and you fall instead

I never come out the victor in these situations. I've had it happen were my stick is already in his neck, it made the sound and everything. Yet he manages to down me and he is fine. I can understand its lag to some extent, but to this degree is insane. Also I'm not trying to ask for a nerf, but if this is looked at as one so be it can we please get rid of the "magnetization effect" nail boards have. It's happened far too many times as well were the person is way out if range to hit me, but due to the "magnetization effect" he manages to glide 5 feet forward and down me.

It happens to me quite a lot, I swing first, get the squishy sound then fall over dead while the other guy runs away but I don't ever recall losing my pointed stick because of it, so my experiences must be lag, which is uncontrollable really.

I assume its lag but maybe in the truly too close to call scenarios Cogburn is rolling a 100 sided die to see if you hit or not. You get number 0.

Seriously I see the half finished 1hk melee get interrupted and defeated a lot too. Probably need to start stealing my neighbor's wifi. Then I can go pro

They wanted a clear winner.  Remember, in Uncharted, you both die on "simultaneous" hits.

 

I've killed people there clearly after i've died...

Well if I'm being honest I would prefer both of us "simultaneously" going down rather then having a clear winner.

That magnetic lunge you describe with the nail bat is a result of bad coding and lag.

Yeah I know it has to do with bad coding and lag, but I would love to see things like that fixed before they start worrying about and trying to "balance" the game.
