It very well could be; however, I have no problem playing other disc games on my PS4. I've probably played 30 hours of Destiny this past week without any errors. My last resort is reinstalling the system software on my PS4 after I exchanged my copy of the game. I've already deleted and re-installed the application from disc, initililzed my PS4 (quick and full, from safe mode and console interface / settings), exchanged the game for another copy, and deleted all of my Last of Us: Remastered save files (assuming they could be corrupt).
We're well aware of this issues and it'll be fixed in the next patch. The next patch will be coming in the next couple of months as we round up all the fixes we think and you tell us are critical. We'll do our best to get this to you quickly but it'll have to go through normal testing and process.
Also, please post all technical issues in our Feedback forum:
We'll be able to answer you in a more timely manner. Thanks!
At this point, it's important that I know it will in fact be fixed in the next patch or if this is just a generic message for people that complain about a technical issue with the game. I only have so many more days before I can return the game to Amazon.com...
Nevermind. I just returned it. I'll look for the next patch notes to include: Fixed CE-34787-0 Error preventing users from playing the game whatsoever. If it does, I'll repurchase it.
