A couple weeks ago we did an experiment to see if our lag detect threshold (which displays the network disconnect icon when it kicks in) was affecting the frequency of the dreaded invisibility bug (players running around killing other players while invisible). We appreciate your feedback on this issue (original thread is here), and we've completed the experiment - there were still quite a few reports of the invisibility bug with the more relaxed lag detect threshold. So the lag detect threshold is now back to the same level as before. This update is now live - version 1.06.127.
Also, some good news - we have a fix coming in the next patch for the invisibility bug and black screen bug (stuck on a black screen, typically when waiting to respawn). Any players who are invisible or stuck on a black screen will get kicked from the match back to the lobby after 30 seconds. While this isn't the perfect solution, it's the best we could do with the resources we had in the time we had, and it should allow most players in the match to keep playing.
So the threshold will be like how it was in 1.06.123?
No, this is the threshold we had before the experiment - i.e. on 1.06.125. 1.06.123 was effectively half of that because the network update rate was doubled in that version.
So, if we black screen, it's game over and might as well quit anyway?
I mean, it's probably better than just sitting there forever, but at least you might have a chance to win if you stayed...
I guess we'll see how it is. Expect a lot of people to come on here asking why they were kicked out of a match when they had the black screen/didn't know they were invisible.
At least admit that you're busy with Uncharted 4 and that's why you offered us a half-assed fix.
Nobody likes half-assed fixes (as DAG pointed out), but at least give us a good excuse.
Well, at least I have a reason to play again. It was tolerable with .025 settings. KSA still won though

Can you give us a rough estimate of when the next patch will be here? And also will there be anything else you'll be changing in the next patch, or is it just to fix the invisibility and black screen bug, as you mentioned?
We haven't announced the date yet, but it's not too far off. And there will be a lot of other fixes in the patch too.
