Thank you for all the good feedback you gave us on our matchmaking trial this weekend .  We've read the feedback and see there are some additional tweaks we can make. Our apologies to those players who had any difficulties. As mentioned before, testing in a real world environment gives us the best feedback but it's largely theory we're testing here so we appreciate your patience. 

 

We're going to run another trial today - version .93, should be up now. This is one that attempts to find a middle ground.  The new settings will perform a lot more searches with the max ping of 100ms to the host, then it will do some searches at 150 before finally going on to the previous max limit of 200.  This will mean matchmaking times will still be a bit longer than before the trial, but players who could not find matches anymore should be able to again.  Note: when searching for games in these ping ranges, however, there is very little chance of finding players of similar experience.

 

We'd love hear the same feedback from you as before, with one addition: please tell us your location (city/town and country) when giving feedback.

 

  • Do you encounter high-latency situations as often as before?
  • Are the high-latency situations you encounter as severe as before?
  • Does it take you longer to find a match?
  • Are there times when you can never find a match when previously at the same time and day of the week you have been able to?

Additionally, a few people have mentioned wanting a "ping toggle" to set the max limit to high or low.  Unfortunately this would not fundamentally solve the problem because it's very unlikely that there would be enough players using the high-latency setting to create full matches.

¡Finally something! Let me try again...

I have to edit...

 

1- Supply Raid - It takes 4/5 minutes - DLC off - It was started, my team has a Ping of 3/4 bars, the enemy of 1/2 but no Lag.

 

2- Interrogation 2/3 minutes - Started - DLC off

 

3- Interrogation - 4/5 minutes - We vote maps - DLC on
A player have a lot of Lag, i killed him with a shiv and he still opening the safebox ultil he stop in 7 seconds, and my team overpass the blue line of open the enemy safebox LOL.

 

4- Supply Raid - DLC on - 10 minutes - I didn't find match.

 

5- Supply Raid - 6/7 minutes - DLC off - Voting
They kick my **bleep**, it was awful... And it was a little laggy but not like other matchs, and there goes my Clan- (Dead)

 

¡At least i can play! Writing more results...

This sounds good, I suggested somewhere that matchmaking should automatically increase tolerances if no matches are found within a reasonable timeframe, so I'm pleased to hear that this is exactly what is happening. Thank you.
