Not just that but it is great for pop and shoot/bullet dodging.

Agility 2 + Shorty +Lag 3=almost omnipotent.  Just ask all the foreigners!!

Definitely use Covert Training 3. Not being heard in listening mode and not bein marked is key to flanking with arguably the best flanking weopon: the Bow. I also use agility 2 so that they can't actually hear you coming up behind them. I can't count how many times I've heard people coming up behind me and then I quickly hoped over some cover turned around and blasted them with a shorty. Plus you get a much needed speed boost. I use the shorty for any close range situation, provided that I've been seen. It's the ultimate close range secondary in my opinion. If you don't down them in the two shots then throw a quick punch. But I never go into a fist fight because engine using an automatic or other fast shooting guns or a shotgun will always win. That is unless you have a machete.

In summary:

Shorty (1)
Bow (3)

Covert Training 3 (5)
Agility 2 (4)
