I've never been a fan of GTA. I play it for a bit of a laugh for 10 hours and then get bored. I just don't like them for many reasons. Anyway the point being here, that whether Rockstar had a choice or not, they've now pretty much sent that game to die. There are enough games coming out this first half of the year that people won't have much spare cash come september, especially if the next-gen consoles are coming out this holiday season. The Last of Us for GOTY!
Well the decision to get GTA V delayed didn't cause any much of a reaction for me, i am not that big fond of the franchise still i don't mind giving it a go. On the other hand, The Last Of Us is my #1 most anticipated game this year then comes (God Of War, Dead Space 3, Bioshock Infinite...and many more).
I do enjoy the GTA games, but in terms of choosing either TLoU or GTA - it'd be The Last of Us without a doubt in my mind.
In fact, I've spent all of my gaming budget so far this year on TLoU lol. Not really sure whether to put a smiley or sad face down.
Dead Space 3 and Beyond will be awesome as well, but nowhere near my excitement for this game.
Next time I follow my gut (as a huge fan of bleak post apocalyptic stories and the zombie genre) and ND has never let me down
Can't wait for the previews on Monday!
I honestly don't see why GTA is so big
It revolutionized the open world genre and garnered a legendary following in the process, just like how GoW and Uncharted revolutionized their own respective genres and got their massive fanbases.
Plus, Vice City pretty much has the greatest soundtrack to any game ever.
