Emotion in Multiplayer.

17 replies 448 views Edited Feb 19, 2013
Hey guys,

I hope we get strong emotional sounds and facial emotion from the characters in multiplayer as in the single player. I would love to hear guys with fear in their voice as they are maybe getting ambushed or something or major facial emotion as your maybe beating the with a pipe or the fear in their face as they see you coming with a knife.

What do you guys think?

The reason I really want this is because when I say the 15 min gameplay trailer I felt so bad when he chocked the one guy or when he shot the other guy or listening to them talk to each other with panic. I want to feel bad both in SP and MP.

That'd be pretty cool, but I dunno if it'll be in there. I guess whenever some MP info gets released we'll see.

Edit: Lol, well I don't want to feel bad during the MP, I want to have fun. But I see what your saying, it'd be nice to have the tension that's in the SP in the MP.

Joel: That's alright. I believe him.

Battlefield 3 MP has something similar to this. When you are shooting at an enemy he yells out for help knowing he is being overwhelmed but as far as facial expressions go, it's not there. I know these 2 games are different from each other but I like the idea.

That is one thing I really liked about battlefield games like Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3. Even if you didn't have a mic you always knew what was going on because the soldiers yeld all kinds of things. If a character saw a take they would yell "tank on the east side" or as you said, if you were getting shot at and you were the only one you character would yell for help or something.

I hope that have that to some dagree in this game.

Oh for sure, the communication in BF is fantastic. If you're hurt, call out for a medic. Need ammo, call out for a support. See a threat, spot it for your teammates. Not only do you shout these things between your teammates but the enemy team can hear you if they're nearby. I always found it almost unnerving to open fire on an enemy squad only to hear them respond vocally and call out to their comrades for help in a voice of sheer terror. That's the one thing those games did right with their multiplayer. I too would love this emphasis in TLoU.
