Slightly off topic, but it REALLY rubs me up the wrong way when people confuse 'fungus' with 'virus'. A fungus is a complex organism. In fact, fungi have a very similar cellular structure to humans, and this one of the reasons it is very hard to develop anti-fungal drugs, because such substances can also harm human cells. A 'virus' on the other hand, is NOT a living organism. It's simply a piece of coated DNA designed solely to replicate itself by hijacking the genetic machinery of cells. Sorry for the rant, but many previews have confused the two terms. I've even some writers use the phrase 'fungal virus'. Urgh
I know. A few of the preview articles confused me when they described the runners as virally infected, initially it had made me wonder if they were entirely different creatures than clickers.
Well what other reason is there to smuggle her out of a quarantine zone where she would otherwise be safe? I don't know, I just hour that isn't the case.
Watch it be something totally ridiculous like a winter sports competition. "Fireflies" are an extreme snowboarding team that goes 12 vs.12 in a extreme obstacle course vs other survivor factions, it's only been rumored among the quarantine zones but now we know for sure and Ellie wants in!
In all seriousness, speculation is fun and all but I can't wait to play the game and find out for myself
