Why doesn't Naughty Dog let you see the entire character you can only see Joel mid waist and up dumb. They are doing the same thing Zipper Itearctive did with SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs which got the team shutdown for making crappy mistakes and cheap looking games. I hope they use the UNCHARTED series third person view which is perfect for this game. If they change that I will buy it I own so far about 90% of all Sony exclsuives made by Sony studios.
Thechartarcter is too close to the screeen also. If they can atleast add a optional view like racing games have.

It's fine with me

I have to agree. I haven't seen anyone complaining, and I think it looks fine. Zipper Interactive got shutdown because they made a game like MAG. I don't think a company like Naughty Dog is getting shutdown anytime soon because a few people had their opinions about camera view.

I didn't think it was that noticable.
My biggest problem is how odd you look when you're crouching down. Other than that it looks absolutely amazing.

You're crazy if you bypass the game because of this...
1- It bring the graphics details even more "up-close" and we all know that ND are good at graphics...
2- A closer view could make some "thrilling/suspence" moment feels more intense because we'll see a little less of our surroundings...sorry for the spelling, my first language is french. It's a good "cinematic trick" for this.

Resident Evil 5
Dead Space 1 / 2
Gears of War 1 / 2 / 3
All of which are high quality games and use similar character cameras.
Yes I am aware I missed one game for sure, It was intentional. I'm sure I missed loads of others unintentionally though.

I personally liked the point of view. There was a part in the demo near the end that I really liked because Joel backs up while in a door way and instead of like U3 (where drake would turn around) Joel takes backward steps to get back into cover. I have no problem with the crouching but I actually really like the fact that Joel puts his hands on things as if it helps control himself and unlike Uncharted Joel wouldn't put his back on cover (although the closet does come to mind) because he needs to find hiding places to get an advantage on the scavengers. The stealth does look like Uncharted 2 & 3 where if no one has spotted you, you crouch and walk slower but since this is a new game the entire control setup could be different but I figure it will still be:
L1 to Aim
R1 to Use Weapon
L2 to Throw Items
I notice Circle was to pick up ammo and Triangle was to interact with the Movie Poster.
Square could be for Melee but there has to be something else going on during the hostage situations plus there has to be counter button presses but maybe there unseen making melee fights a little more realistic since you don't when you should react to a punch.
