Yeah, and they all got their arses torn out by gamers because of it (except from brown-nosers, of course).
To spend 40GBP on a game, play for three hours, then have to start from the beginning again is simply unacceptable. I don't care what side of the fence you sit.
Before taking rash actions. Ask yourself the question: Did I enjoy the 3 hours? Patience dude.. Patience. Programming, coding and making games is quite difficult and stuff like this happens now and then. But unless your company has an acronym called EA, bugs are fixed fast.
I'm pretty darn sure ND is working hard to resolve the issues.
I'm absolutely positive they are - otherwise everyone else will steer clear. My point - which apparently is being missed - is this should never have happened in the first place. Test, test, then test again. There's no point blaming servers when saving a game is core to the product (and therefore should not rely on connection to the outside world).
No, it's not possible. I've actaully played the 1st few hours, it's very fun, much better than Uncharted. I'll have no problem replaying this game at least 5 times. And the saving didn't rely on the servers, it was the stats the game fetched, which is why earlier, when you played the game offline it would work fine because you weren't connected to the servers.
