Hell yeah

John just responded some email of mine.

I guess he don't like talk about Syphon Filter, 'cause it should be hard to see his work going down.

My bet is that Syphon Filter "5" was in development for PS3, but SCEA got canned the project for thinking it was too risk.

John rarely responds to emails. Very low chance he'll response if it's SF-related. I'm sure he's still under NDA so that's understandable.

Sony Bend hasn't gone anywhere. They're working on a PS3 game, but no one (besides them) knows what it is.

My observation has purpose, hence I am here.

Re: Sad news: No more Syphon Filter games =(

Not very rarely.

John replied about 3 emails of fine, and the three was about Syphon Filter.

The first one I sent him in 2007, asking about the possibility of Syphon Filter see the light at PS3. And he replied: "As you may know, I cannot talk about our current and future projects. But I can tell you that no, we're not, currently, working on Syphon Filter for PS3".

The Second one I writed about se future of the series, that the fans world love to see Syphon Filter on PS3 and that the franchise could end like that (who finished Logan's Shadow know what I'm taking about). And he replied: "The question is that Dark Mirror and Logan's Shadow just didn't sell well, and it's not a PSP piracy problem, 'cause our last game, Resistance Retribution, really sold very well."

And the Third one is that I posted here.

I did not even know what this game was until I looked on your thread I went on youtube to look it up and must say it looked very cool and could see an updated version kicking ass on the PS3 ...

Syphon Filter hasn't been good since part 3.  I haven't played Logan's Shadow yet but when I do get around to it I'll be satisfied with this franchise being over.

I must correct myself.  I think Omega Strain was the last good Syphon Filter game.  Syphon Filter really needs to step into this generation of gaming (PS3) and stop f'ing around on the PSP and PS2.

Wow

Googleing for some Syphon Filter OST, I found at Hybrid Games site my email sent to John.

I'd like to thank the folks that really believe me.

I'm happy to see my mail news on websites.

That's my objective: Share the words of the creator of our loved franchise.

Thank you very much.

Not like we didn't see that coming. Both SF games on the PSP were well received but didn't sell well because of piracy. It's not the game, it's the system.

At least we should get some closure on the Logan's Shadow ending scene. It sucked balls.
