Hey folks!
I have sad news for us, that I'd like to share with you.
I'm a huge fan of Syphon Filter, from Sony Bend.
With so many rumour around the web, I decided to send an e-mail to John Garvin, co-producer of the series.
Here's the original message I sent to him:
"Hi John!
I'm an huge fan of your games, created at Sony Bend!
Especially Syphon Filter Series.
I've been speaking with others Syphon's fan about "HD Classics" that Sony Computer Entertainment revealed last month.
Classics series such as "God of War" and "Sly Cooper" and rumoured ICO and Shadow of the Colossus (will) receive(d) re-compilations for current gen of Playstation(PS3).
Now, representing the entire Syphon Filter community, I ask you:
How about a "Syphon Filter Colletion", with updates of the three games launched for PS1?
What do you say? Did you like the idea?
We strongly believe that it would be anwsome.
Or even a sequel for Logan's Shadow for PS3 would be great.
Well, that's it.
Ohh, thanks for launching Logan's Shadow for PS2. I already brought my copy. =D
Thank you very much for your attention.
Best wishes"
And here's the answer from John:
"Hi Luis,
Thanks for the email and thanks for being a fan of Syphon!
Great disc image. One problem is that we can’t release games
with different age ratings in the same package, so the “T-M” won’t work!
Another problem is that there just aren’t enough fans like you.
Dark Mirror and Logan’s Shadow just didn’t sell well enough to warrant
making more of them. Sorry! I wish it was otherwise. I’ve done
all the Syphon games since #1 in 1997, and I too am sad to see it end.
Best,
John Garvin"
Unfortunately, it's not fake.
I've printed the email, to prove I'm not joking.
Here it is:
Well folks, that's it.
At least, now we can stop creating hope.

You can thank all the people who stole the game instead of going out and buying it for the lack of another Syphon Filter.

Honestly, I thought that LS and DM were Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell wannabes. Overall pathetic stealth aspect and I did not like the controls at all. But I liked the cover system and the ability to shoot while climbing a ladder.
