Don't know if you remember me, but I remember you. I was just reminiscing over this game.
I've played a **bleep**-load of PS3 games since I last sold my PSP (about 3 years ago now), and I can confidently say I haven't had the same satisfaction playing any of those games as I had playing SFDM pre-hackers. I know it sounds weird comparing PSP games to PS3 games, but that's just how I feel.
The closest gaming experience I've come to is Uncharted 3. The importance of strafing and shooting reminds me so much of SFDM.
Agreed on the possibility of SF coming to the Vita. I would buy it just to play that, without question.
Fondest memory? Playing against Oni in Combat Ops and him calling me "awesome" after the game. He's the best player I've played against, so that was cool.
Anyone wanna share their fondest memories of SFDM/LS (ugh)/Combat Ops?
Hey, how's it going? I agree so much. I got my PS3 back in Feb. 2008, but I had more fun on my PS2 and PSP than I did in these past four years on my PS3. I love my PS3, and had some great times and played some great titles, but overall this console generation has been pretty disappointing. It's the same on the PC side too... Some good games, but I find myself playing older titles more than any newer stuff.
Also agreed strongly about UC3. I played that and beat it late last month and had a blast. That was the last great game I played, before that, the last game I even bought was Saints Row The Third, and that was on launch night back in Nov. 2011, and while it was a nice game, I still felt Saints Row 2 was a superior game overall and was left with a sour taste in my mouth. *sigh*
Still waiting on a new Syphon game. Maybe someday John Garvin and the rest will feel like making a Syphon game again. Until then, all we can do is just wait, I suppose.
Anyone on PS3/Vita, feel free to add me. Just make sure you let me know you're from here lol, otherwise I don't accept blank invites. I'll accept whenever I login.
