skyrim patch via usb

4 replies 5719 views Edited Dec 19, 2011

My PS3 is not connected. Does anyone know where and how I can download the patch to a USB and install it?  I've searched all over the forums and support, but found nothing.  Thanks.

PS3 game updates can only be installed via the Internet. Only the PS3 System software can be installed from a USB storage device.  You will have to take your PS3 somewhere that has Internet connectivity in order to install the patch.

Why?  If Sony provides downloaded USB system updates surely they can do the same for game updates. This is policy they need to change if they wish to avoid driving customers away to other platforms.

It's not a policy, but a system limitation with the OS.
