What the hell is a network timeout, and why does it keep happening in the middle of my madden oline games? especially since my signal is always running at 85% or better.  Any feedback on this and how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

A network timeout doesn't necessarily refer to your home wireless network.  It could be anywhere in the connection between you and the game servers.  It is generally caused by network congestion, which caused packets sent by the game servers or your PS3 to be delayed or discarded.  Unless it is happening on your home network or home Internet connection (because someone is downloading large files, streaming video, or doing some other network-intensive task at the same time that you are playing), then there is nothing that you can do about it; except to play at a different time, or try a different Internet service.
