My system has been acting strange lately to the point where it won't play any disc-based games or downloaded games. My system started to act weird when I updated my system and the Fallout: New Vegas update . The XMB has been freezing from time to time and I tried to restore my system, but even that froze. When it freezes the on/off button doesn't even phase its frozen status so I have to unplug it from the wall. I managed to save my game data when the PlaystationPlus Data storage was available during the Welcome Back program. I can log in into my Playstaion Network account, play music, etc, but can't play any video games at all and the system gets hot very quickly on the right side. I was wondering if anybody had the same problem, or any solutions to the problem.

I received a message stating my systems data was corrupted and now it's restoring.

If it stays in a certain percentage for long period of time, do I just let it be. The background hasn't froze...

Ok, it completed the restoration and I tried playing a game, it seemed to start and sadly it froze before gameplay. Well last resort, here I come...lol

i tried the 5th option which was the "last resort". It wiped my system clean and I decided to play a game. The game had to download some updates and after that the game started. It got past the "Press Start" option and then it froze. I managed to quit game, but then the XMB started to freeze as well. Soon things went back to freezing and crashing.

Honestly I don't know what to do. I've had the system since last November and im still under warranty.
