Which vets are actually buying this day one for 60 bones?

Anybody buying this and trusting issues to be resolved? I am undecided and need to see the maps.

Already did, which is why I hope they tweak the shield to be more like the Warhawk one to prevent torp abuse or just allow it and make all buldings free so we can just rebuild them and not be forced to barrel farm to get a simple jeep spawn back.

I will be. The recent post by HawkStarJay has given me hope that the dev team understand at least some of the major game flaws. The majority of them are easy fixes so I can't imagine why they wouldn't make it in time for the release of the game.

I know I'm probably in the minotiry, but I'm actually looking forward to see what they've accomplished with the single player too.

I am. I've really enjoyed the multiplayer, and look forward to any improvements that are going to be made. Co-op and single player are looking up to be really awesome as well.

Re: Which vets are actually buying this day one for 60 bones?

Warhawk provided me with a year of intense gaming satisfaction. For 60$, I’d say it was a pretty big bang for the buck, especially considering that I did not play anything else during that year.

Therefore, I owe it to LBI to at least give their game a serious shot before dismissing it. Any real Warhawk fan would feel the same. At least that’s the way I see it.

Yeah out of loyalty is part of it, but I really wish they did not have to be so covert about game details. Honestly I learned more about GTA 5 from the very first trailer than I have yet found out about Starhawk. Why did they have to keep the Tank hush-hush???? I will be let down massively if they don't include a dropship or APC like vehicle, and a bit let down with we don't get some larger airship...but forsome reason they are keeping it in wraps. I almost cancled my order when I was getting tired of no tank info since that could have been warhawk all over with entire parts just left out of the finished build...but it turned out GTA V was not going to be released for a year more (they have jets, planes, and possibly blimps in the newest release...plus parks and everything else!!!!!) so I kept my reservation. I could care less about skins, but it would be nice if they had female models in the game...then again they may all get hit on constantly by the other players so perhaps it is for the best.

Re: Which vets are actually buying this day one for 60 bones?

Already pre ordered.

If Starhawk wasn't related to Warhawk, I don't think people would be so passionate in their hate.

As its own game, I like it.  It's not Warhawk two.

I like it for what it is, and I'm very hopeful that LBI is still working on things the community has brought up.  They've tweaked a lot based on feedback, and I'm sure they have a list of other fixes that will be implemented.  I doubt 1.3 is a definitive example of the final version.

Looking forward to having a new game to play, especially since I don't care for FPS.

I've been playing the beta since it started, I expect to get many hours out of the full retail version.

Re: Which vets are actually buying this day one for 60 bones?

Already pre-ordered.  I played warhawk off and on for years.  I played it for a night after getting starhawk.  There was very little if anything I prefered about warhawk.  Honestly they are apples and oranges and they both taste good.

I'm excited to see what the game is like and very excited to see the servers get properly ranked.  The other night I was playing on a server where one guy was like... level 30 or something.  He was just running in with mines and generally destroying.  Whichever team he was on.  I'd much rather have an even playing field by skill level than have any more changes to the gameplay itself.
