I was out relaxing by the pool today and all of the sudden the right speaker in the Beats By Dre I bought in July of 2010 went out on me. Luckily, I purchased the two year warranty for $20.
Best buy no longer carries the same model of the headphones I bought, and I didn’t want a crappier pair that was $40 less then the ones I bought. So I received a gift card instead for the entire amount of my purchase (excluding the warranty).
I must say that $20 + tax was an excellent purchase as I ended up “renting” some quality headphones for about $10 a year.
Now, Best Buy is one of my least favorite stores and I have ~$143 to spend there. I have no idea what to buy, but I need some recommendations. Do you guys think you could help me out?
Game-wise, I've played Battlefield 3 for over 170 hours and I still love it. I know you hate Starhawk, but if you wanna spend recklessly I say go for it. I'll be reviewing the game after it comes out so I can tell you what I think too. It'd be nice to play with ya buddy. If you got one of those you'd have $80 left which is pretty good.
You could also pre-order Starhawk, then if you don't like it sell it used and give the buyer the pre-order bonus codes for extra if you don't use them.
I got some Bose earbuds for $90 and they've been serving me well. Renting headphones sounds interesting.
Thanks for the recommendations so far guys! But I must say that I’m not really looking for games to play. But I do greatly appreciate recommendations both of you sent me.
@Butters - “Renting” Headphones is fantastic. It’s a lot better then spending $150-$300 and then having them break after a year or two.
lolz then you be trollin' asking here :b
I know you don't like it, but I'd love it if you got Starhawk. I guess all I can say is go to the store and look for anything you can afford. Buy a deluxe mini fridge for your dorm?
No butters, this is a serious issue. I don’t shop at Best buy for two reasons: The first being the place sucks, the second being I don’t buy many electronics.
Which is why I need help. What can I buy at “Worst” Buy that I can find useful or entertaining?
@gs94 - I wasn’t given to me. It’s my money being returned to me thanks to the warranty on a product I bought that ended up being defective.
