Dust.....you can see the potential in it to be a phenomenal game.

However, it still needs work.

Currently it is plagued by MAG kiddies who were expecting it to be MAG 2. It's not.

either way, I am having a bit of trouble downloading Starhawk MP from the new PS Store. I set it to download before I left for work, iin hopes that it would be ready to go when i got home.  That didn't happen. I got some sort of error where the download timed out. Hopefully background downloading it works.

Oh, and Dust 514 is in Closed Beta until at least the beginning of 2013, if not a little longer.

the only ways to get in are to use the Codes that CCP gives out, which were posted earlier, buy the Merc Pack for 20 bucks(comes with Beta Access plus ingame goodies), or to get a code from someone in the beta. I'm not exactly sure how that last one works, because I bought the Merc Pack, so i don't have any codes.

I got an invite to the private beta some time ago... then i realised i had no incentive to play a free fps.

More offtopic dust questions:

So I downloaded the beta, over 2 gigs, started it up, and it told me I need the latest update to play.
So it restarted and started downloading the latest update...  which is another 2.6 gigs.  This "update" is big as the game.  Is it just redownloading the game by some weird error, or was the latest patch around 2.6 gigs?

That exact thing happend to me. I'm not sure what it is, but after it's done downloading it's ready.

Honestly the mp is the main reason to play this game. It's excellent. Tons of fun.

Cyvrius, CCP is doing the MMO thing for dust. Gonna keep rolling out with patches and updates procedurally to keep the game relevant. So expect alot of it. In the end, FF11 went from 8 gigs on a dvd to 13 gigs on my hard drive, so be prepared to have a 15 gig game at some point in the distant future.
