The Red Sox will catch us, the Yanks will not. They obviously lack team chemistry, and the same way our bullpen has been overperforming so have guys like Giambi and Mussina. This doesn't look good, no, but its bringing our bullpen back down from outside the stratosphere and that was to be expected, anyone who didn't expect it was kidding themselves.
I expected to loose to Cliff Lee quite frankly, we don't hit guys like him well. The fact is the Yankees are still 5.5 or 6 games out ((I forget, its late, I just know it is one of the two)) and that is too big of a lead to overcome. If we don't win the wild card it will be the Twins, but I stand by the fact that I feel we are a better team, it is just a matter of fending off the Yankees, and considering we have been a second half team in recent memory I feel that we will fight them off and make the playoffs as the AL wild card.

Tampa Bay has the talent and the cohesion to get to the playoffs. I think they'll come close though. I'm not sure if their playoff-stretch inexperience would come back to haunt them though. As far as winning the division, they have an outside chance at it but I really think Boston will pull it out. The Yanks have too much drama within the locker room to really get things on the right track to make the playoffs. The Rays would have to have a Mets-like implosion for the Yanks to pass them for the division lead or most likely, the wild card slot.
