OTTAWA ONTARIO ! any canadians who see this will know what I mean

Yeah Eric, if you lived anywhere near Toronto you'd know what I mean. I'm a Penguins fan, born and raised, and me and my dad were and still are in puragatory with all the Leaf fans, and in a smaller number, Habs fans around here. (Though Habs fans are everywhere ). The Leafs are, as Mike pointed out, one of the most beloved teams anywhere, in any sport, in the whole world, because everyone in the whole Greater Toronto Area (that's about four million people I believe) love them.
Skull, I can see what you mean with the Argos winning the Grey Cup in '04, but right now, Toronto has four bad teams, which I think takes the cake.
I can't see Ottawa being one because they only have one professional team. Sure the Senators suck, but the 67's have Brian Kilrea, and anyone with Bryan Kilrea can't be counted out.
So I would say Kansas City, Milwaukee, Buffalo and Toronto are all in the running, but Toronto wins, in my opinion.

Kansas City would get my vote. Royals fans had hopes that they would improve this year, and they got off to a fast start. They were 18-11 on May 7th, 3 games in first, Greinke was on fire, and it looked like they were for real. Now they're in danger of another 100 loss season, and are only 3.5 games better than the Nationals. They could end up with the worst record in the majors, which seemed inconceivable a couple of months ago.
Also, something not yet mentioned for KC is that they spent $275 million on the new Sprint Center in the hopes of getting an NBA or NHL team. So far, they haven't been able to get either.

Sadly enough I would probably say here. Atleast for the past 3 years both sports have had horrible records. But it looks to change this year for football. Hell, even our AFL team sucked. Maybe it would help if we had a NBA/NHL team here.
You almost did, and a GREAT NHL team at that (Penguins).

How can you not say Cleveland? They have all 3 major sports and still most current fans have NEVER witnessed a championship. The last championship was Jim Brown, and before that? Bob Feller! Kansas City has at least wona championship for their fans. And yeah, we have the Cavs but Lebron has said he's entering free agency. Not that he's going to leave, but most people think he will.
As the poem Clevelanders always quote goes:
It's dinner not supper. It's pop not soda.
We are the reason stadiums have plastic bottles, and I helped make it that way.
We are the home of Bone Thugs N Harmony,
and the Drive, the Fumble, the Shot, & Red Right 88.
We laugh when someone tells us Lake Erie isn't polluted.
We're used to the dead fish smell after it rains.
People are trained to talk on TV like us.
THE DAWG POUND IS HEAVEN!
We know the Browns have never even been to a Super Bowl,
the Indians haven't won a World Series in over 60 years, and the
Cavs have never won the Finals.
Our river caught on fire not once, but 3 times.
I'm from Cleveland and Im proud of it!
But I enjoy these videos more.

i say seattle... apparently they are a bit weird there.
but also.... when an entire city sends hate mail\death threats to one of the best baseball players because he wants to play for his dads team... I say they are weird. and should be listed on this list.
lets also not forget the sonics situation.
i also like how the entire city voted no on both of the new stadiums... but yet... they were still built.
