Kicking off with Rams/Niners tonight. Two disappointing 1-2 teams looking to not dig a hole at 1-3. Rams have given Niners trouble when they were good, what happens when Kaerpenick can't run or pass? Surely San Fran can't lose again, even if it is on the road.
As Frank said postgame, this was a "Get back on track" game. If we had lost against the Rams, everybody (myself included) would be going crazy about "What's happened to the Niners?!". But since we beat them by 24, they are "just the Rams". Double standard much?
We need to stick to this formula. Run game, clock control, dominant defense.
It's not really a double standard since the Niners SHOULD beat the Rams handily if they're the team we expect them to be especially because the Rams haven't looked close to competent the last three games.
That is a valid point, I will say. Guess it just feels like a double standard.
I'd hate to think that at only week 4 this is a "must win" for the New York Football Giants, but this is a game they need to win. The offensive line is banged up, and they need a big game out of Eli and the recieving corps. this week. Offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride better come up with a gameplan, otherwise fans are going to start calling for his job.
